Water Activities

Float down the Deschutes River

Enjoy one of the top summer activities in Bend, floating down the Deschutes River. Board the Ride the River shuttle in Drake Park and get off at the end of the line (Riverbend Park), where you'll be able to launch your tube from a sandy beach. Here's a great overview, which describes your journey and the option to float through Bend White Water Park.

Launch SUPs and tubes from the backyard

Launch a stand up paddle board or a tube directly from the backyard. Float and paddle around Mirror Pond for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Paddle boards/life jackets/paddles and tubes are in the garage. Please return them to the garage after use.

Whitewater rafting

The Big Eddy is a popular set of Class III rapids that you can easily take on in a morning or afternoon. Check out Sun Country Tours website for details and for a list of other whitewater rafting adventures that you can depart to from Bend.
